The Urbane - Glitter (2003)

Artist: The Urbane
Album: Glitter
Country: UK
Genre: Crossover Progressive Rock
Year: 2003
Time: 1:09:02
Format: MP3 VBR 319 kbps

The Urbane are a four-piece band from Reading, comprising John Mitchell (guitarist for prog legends Arena) on lead vocals and guitar, Martin Raggett on bass guitar, and Paddy Darlington on keyboards. Bob Dalton of It Bites fame has recently joined the band on drums and has played several gigs with them already in the UK and Europe.

Their first album, 'Neon' received critical acclaim upon its release in 1999, and their second offering 'Glitter' has also done rather splendidly as well. They have supported a number of well-known musicians at gigs across the UK and Europe, including Marillion, Kings X, Steve Hogarth, Bowes & Morley (Thunder) and Asia.

Highly Recommended !!!

Woven Hand - Blush Music (2003)

Artist: Woven Hand
Album: Blush Music
Country: USA
Genre: Progressive Folk Rock, Experimental
Year: 2003
Time: 1:07:05
Format: MP3 320 kbps
Size: 153 Mb + Covers (+3%)

Woven Hand blends modern psych tones with alt-country instrumentation and cryptically religious-leaning lyrics to produce a uniquely American modern folk sound. Edwards vocal stylings range from Jim Morrison to Bob Dylan to Gordon Gano (VIOLENT FEMMES). Woven Hand deserve a place in ProgArchives for their artistic expression and disregard for traditional approaches to any of the many genres of influence.
