Album "R.E.T.R.O" represents a trip back to the band’s electronic music roots in the early 80ies. After finishing the futuristic, story-ridden “Lost Alone” Trilogy with their remarkable album “Crossroads” in 2007 their new release is focused on a completely different concept: The Commodore 64 computer music era, which was representing the birth of self-made electronic music in the growing video game scene in Europe and North America. The unique sound design of the scene that was limited to a three track polyphonic sound chip with a few effects made the composers more dependent on their own creativity to overcome the gears limitations. The result are cult-videogame soundtracks of game classics like “Lightforce” or “The Last Ninja 3”, which are covered on R.E.T.R.O along with a bunch of original Mind.In.A.Box inspired by the C64 area. This album manages to link the 80ies analogue electronics sound with the futuristic approach of the Austrian soundwizards.
